Where is Crested Butte?
Crested Butte is nestled in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, at the junction of Highways 133 and 135, north of Gunnison, Colorado, and surrounded by national forests and wilderness areas.

What are the closest major cities and distances?
Carbondale is located about 173 miles north (about a three hour and 42 minute drive).
Gunnison is located about 28 miles south (a 38 minute drive).
Denver is a little over 228 miles (or four hours) away.

Where are the closest airports and distances?
The Gunnison Crested Butte Regional Airport is the closest airport serving Crested Butte and is only 28 miles away. Daily year-round flights are provided on United Express from Denver International Airport, and additional United flights in the winter. Delta Air Lines and American Airlines also offer daily non-stop and direct flights from many U.S. hub cities in the wintertime.

Highs in the 30s and lows below zero mark the average winter temperatures, while summer affords mild mountain temperatures – getting up into the 80s and reaching as low as the 30s at night.
