Showers & Laundry
With all there is to see and do year-round in Crested Butte, it's inevitable you'll need a hot shower and clean clothes at some point.
Public showers and laundry are at a premium in Crested Butte. Most campgrounds around town are primitive and, therefore, do not have shower or laundry facilities. That said, you can still find a place to get cleaned up after an active day in the mountains.
Showers
Grab a shower at the local hostel in downtown Crested Butte on Teocalli Avenue. Hours vary for public access to the showers, so stop by or call beforehand. Cost is $6 and includes a towel.
Laundry
The town's only public laundry facility is also located in the hostel. Call or check their website for more details on hours and rates.
Outside Crested Butte
Thirty miles away in Gunnison (population: 14,000), you'll find many public laundry facilities. Call around for hours and rates. The next-closest public showers are located at the Gunnison Community and Aquatics Center. Daily admission is $6.
