The Citizens Ski Races are a series of fun nordic races held by the Crested Butte Nordic Center. The Citizens Races are designed as a series with a points system. Age class winners are crowned at the end of all the races. Like many other races in Crested Butte, these races are fun for all ages and abilities.

The Citizens Race Series is competitive and fun for all ages and abilities. Races are held at scenic locations within our groomed trail network. Beginning with 10km lengths in early December, race distances increase 20km leading up to the 20k final race.

Register at Nordic Center before 9:30am. Races start at 10am sharp. Location TBA
Program Information:

Beginning with 10km lengths in early December, race distances increase 20km leading up to the Alley Loop in early February. Point totals are recorded in order to crown champions at the end of the season. Please join us for these great training and social races!
Cost: $12.00 Adults / $10.00 Members / $2 Children under 12
Participants must register at the CBNC on race day.
Race venues are subject to weather and conditions. Venues will be posted at the Nordic Center the week of each race.

Overview: This race is designed with everyone in mind. All ages and abilities of racers are welcome to participate. Races are held at various locations throughout the groomed trail network of the Crested Butte Nordic Center and specific locations will be posted the day of the race. the distance of each race is increased throughout the series starting at 10k and increase by 20km per race.
When: There are six races spanning from early December to late January. Races are spaced out by a week or more and gradually increase to the longest and final races.
Where: the Crested Butte Nordic Center and various other trails int he groomed nordic trail system of the area.
Details: Races and location are subject to change with weather. Register at Nordic Center before 9:30am. Races start at 10am sharp. Location TBA for each race. The race builds up to the annual Alley Loop Race in February.
