Fat Tire Bike Week
For over 25 years, Crested Butte has been host to the longest running bike festival in the country with its Fat Tire Bike Week. This family friendly celebration attracts riders of all levels with every type of bike looking to explore the best of what Crested Butte has to offer.
Biking enthusiasts will certainly be in heaven during Fat Tire Bike Week in Crested Butte. It is a celebration of all things bike, and even if you have never been on a mountain or road bike, there is sure to be something fun for you to find during this valley wide festival. From scenic wildflower rides to challenging downhill "rock rides," people of every skill level will be satisfied with the offerings. Separate rides for expert, intermediate, and beginner riders are held at the beginning of each day.
There are barbecues, picnics, raft trips, clinics, races, demonstrations, a kids parade, and many more activities. As the festival floats around the valley to different locations, be sure to grab one of the free shuttles so you don't miss any of the excitement. The cost is included in your registration fee, as are the entrance fees to most of the events.
