For the last 100 years, the Gunnison valley has celebrated its rich western heritage at the Gunnison Cattleman's Days.  Each July several days are devoted to the "Granddaddy of Colorado's Rodeos," with countless activities and great entertainment. Do not miss an opportunity to take part in this authentic rodeo celebration.

Gunnison's Cattleman's Days attracts people from all over, including some of the world's top cowboys and cowgirls.  Between the many horse shows, races, and other events, you will soon know why it is known as the best rodeo in the state.  The first day kicks off with the Open Horse Show for people of all ages interested in competing in several different horse disciplines, even if you've never even ridden. For authentic western roping, racing, and riding there is no better display than here at Cattleman's Days.

There are  a few fundraisers during Cattleman's Days, including the popular "Tough Enough to Wear Pink Rodeo," supporting local breast cancer awareness, research, and prevention. There is also a parade, county fair, carnival, live music and dancing, and some of the best livestock from all over the country.  Anyone looking for a fun way to celebrate the history of this authentic western town, will definitely find it at Gunnison's Cattleman's Days.
