The sights to see are many and varied in the heart of the Elk Mountains in Colorado at Crested Butte. From high mountain peaks covered with snow and deep powder covered slopes in the winter to green meadows sprinkled with wildflowers in the summer, the scenery is spectacular.
Exploring the area around Crested Butte is easy either on skis or by hiking or biking. There are numerous ski slopes and/or mountain trails that take you on a fantastic sightseeing tour. You can even see the sights from the back of a horse, or riding in a Jeep or other four-wheel drive vehicle.
Viewing the area in the summer or the winter, allows you to view all the splendor and solitude of the area and to appreciate the mountainous surroundings of Crested Butte. Remember to take your camera when you go on a sightseeing tour, so you can capture all the sights to take home with you.
