There are several outfitters in the Crested Butte area that can provide the necessary tools for your off road experience. If an ATV is what you want, there are several trails in the area perfect for those types of off-road vehicles. Try Pearl Pass, a beautiful and easily accessible trail. From the top, be sure to get a picture as you look down on the gorgeous view of Montezuma Basin. There is also camping available in a few spots if you want to make it an overnight trip.
A Jeep tour may be a better choice if you prefer a more leisurely off road experience. Explore the amazing areas of Crested Butte by visiting a nearby scenic ghost town, historic gold mine, or drive to the summit of one of the many 14,000ft Colorado peaks.
