To travel from the Gunnison Airport to Crested Butte, you can simply take the convenient shuttle. There is currently no bus service to Crested Butte. Taking the shuttle from the airport to town is just the beginning.
It is easy to get around in Crested Butte. The town is rather small and everything is close to each other. In fact, many travelers elect to go without a car and instead rely on the free bus service, which connect the ski area, the town and most of the condominium locations.
So if you are traveling to Crested Butte via air, just take the airport shuttle to town and then use the bus service to get around. This eliminates parking problems and in the winter, continually clearing the snow off your car. You can ride the bus anywhere you need to go in this friendly community.
