Crested Butte Colorado Ice Skating

Ice skating and hockey tournaments entertain locals as well as visitors in Crested Butte, Colorado each winter. Novices as well as experienced skaters enjoy skating at Crested Butte's two public skating rinks and its hockey rink. Don't worry if you didn't bring your skates, rentals are available at most rinks.

For a different skating experience, you can skate endless miles on the Blue Mesa Reservoir. Distance skaters, as they are called, enjoy the endurance challenge that skating the reservoir has to offer. During cold winters, the Park Service keeps an ice rink near the boat ramp on the Blue Mesa.
