Snowmobiling in the Crested Butte, Colorado has recently become a popular activity for visitors and locals alike. With over 50 miles of groomed snowmobile trails leading to hundreds of miles of rugged trails, you'll never be without an adventure in the Gunnison-Crested Butte area.

Snowmobiling is taken seriously in Crested Butte. Many snowmobilers head to Taylor Park or Irwin Trailhead, home of the groomed trails. If you are looking for an adventure, many experienced snowmobilers like to ride to the nearby towns of Aspen or Paonia.

If you do not own your own snowmobile or would just like to give the activity a first try, there are many rental companies available. Many rental shops also offer guided tours and trips to the exciting winter backcountry of Crested Butte. If you head out on a self guided trip, make sure you are familiar with which areas of Gunnison-Crested Butte encourage snowmobiling and which do not.
