With the 10th largest downtown in the country, the Mile High City attracts people from all walks of life. There are mountain views in all directions from any vantage point in Denver, making it a beautiful as well as exciting city. You can see just about 200 peaks from town, and with over 300 days of sunshine a year, the views are always clear. The city includes a mile long pedestrian walkway that is linesd with tasty cafes, shops, and museums, creating a lively social atmosphere.
Not only is Denver beautiful, its residents are well educated with three college campuses. Although studious, Denver locals know how to party. More beer is brewed in Denver than any other US city. Home of more than 80 different beers, Denver is never boring.
As a major US metropolitan area, Denver is easy to get in and out of. The Denver International Airport provides nonstop daily service to over 130 destinations, domestic and international. If you are flying into Crested Butte, the closest airport is Gunnison-Crested Butte Airport (GUC), which is located 30 minutes from town. Montrose (MTJ), located just under 2 hours away, is also another airport option. Shuttles to and from the airport are provided at both airports.
