Summer Fun Attractions for the Family

• Hiking
  Hit the trail for wildflowers, wildlife and wild views in one of the most pristine hiking areas in Colorado.
• Horseback Riding
  With heaps of backcountry trails, Crested Butte horseback riding is a great way to experience the deep, non-motorized wilderness.
• Whitewater Rafting
  The Gunnison River and Lower Taylor are great family rafting trips with safe, but exciting rapids. Short attention spans will delight at the constant amusement and all-natural stimuli.
• Fishing
  Land a trout on the Gunnison River or head over to Taylor Reservoir for some lake fishing.

Winter Kid Friendly Activities

• Kids’ Ski School
  Give your little shredder professional training at Crested Butte’s top-notch ski school. Kids’ ski school runs programs for 3 to 17 year-olds, starting at $145 a day.
• Kids Camp
  Let them frolic with other kiddies at a Crested Butte kids camp. There’s even a night option!
• Children’s Museum
  Sometimes, especially when a big storm rolls into town, kids need some inside play time. Located at the base of the ski area, admission is only $6.

Winter Fun Attractions for the Family

• Ice Skating
  Crested Butte’s Big Mine Ice Rink is a lovely outdoor skating rink. Located at the Nordic center in downtown Crested Butte, admission is free and skate rentals cost $9 for adults and $7 for kids.
• Dog Sledding
  A guided dog-sled tour is an opportunity for the whole family to get out into the Crested Butte wilderness. Tours last from a couple hours to all day. Prices start at $165 for adults and $140 for kids.
